There are many ways you can help support us running the Club. We’ve listed the main ways below, but if you have an idea you think can help, please drop us an email.
If you can help directly by providing skills or time, whether by getting involved in the charity or more hands-on, we’ll provide access to the training you need to support our young people.
And of course, we need to keep everyone safe, so we’ll ensure that anyone who interacts directly with the young people, has had the appropriate safeguarding checks. As a member of Youth Scotland, you get free PVG checks, so it won’t cost you anything.
Join the team!
Are you passionate about making our community be the best possible place it can for young people to grow up? We would love for you to officially join the team! By becoming a member of the Tomintoul and Glenlivet Youth Club SCIO, you get a real voice in how we run, including voting rights at our AGMs. It’s a fantastic, simple way to stand up and say, “I believe in our local youth.”
If you want to get a little more stuck into the action, why not join our board of trustees? You don’t need years of charity experience—just a warm heart, a bit of enthusiasm, and a desire to help us guide the club. Together, we make sure everything stays safe, happy, and thriving for our kids. Our current trustees can help support you and we’re happy to have a chat anytime about what this means.
Who it’s for: Anyone in the community who wants a say in how we grow.
The commitment: Attending our AGM or joining our friendly committee meetings.

Getting hands-on
They say it takes a village to raise a child, and we think we have a brilliant one! Whether you can spare a couple of hours a month or a few hours a week, we have a spot just for you. We’re always on the lookout for friendly session leaders to help run our activities. As we’ve said above, we’ll provide training to help support you in this.
Don’t fancy being on the front lines? No problem at all! We need behind-the-scenes superheroes, too. If you’re a wizard with numbers who can help with bookkeeping, a social media master, or just someone handy with a paintbrush, your skills can make a massive difference. You bring the talent, we’ll bring the tea and biscuits!

As a freshly minted charity, keeping our sessions accessible and affordable for every single family in our community is incredibly close to our hearts. From buying arts and crafts supplies and tuck shop treats to funding equipment to provide enjoyable activities, every donation we receive goes directly toward making childhood in Tomintoul and Glenlivet just that little bit more magical.
If you’re in a position to support us financially, we promise that every penny will be put to excellent use.
